TUNA SALAD Greek recipe (Tonosalata )


Though simple in preparation, Greek-style tuna salad is packed with typical Greek flavors.

Along with chunks of tuna, the salad mainly incorporates various diced vegetables, and the choice of different additions such as capers, olives, and herbs.

It is either coated in a creamy dressing or simply seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice. Tonosalata is best served chilled, accompanied by crispy rusks or country-style bread.

TUNA SALAD (Tonosalata )


  • 2 cans tuna in water.
  • 200g yogurt.
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped.
  • 1 small onion chopped.
  • 1/2 red pepper chopped.
  • 1 small potato, boiled and cut into small cubes.
  • 1 cup peas or corn boiled.
  • 1 tbs chopped dill.
  • 2 tsp. sweet mustard.
  • 1 tbs mayonnaise.
  • 1 tbs olive oil.
  • little balsamic vinegar.
  • Pepper


  1. Empty tuna in colander and press with hands to drain  water.
  2. Mix all ingredients and put the tuna salad in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
  3. If you want to serve in buffet you can spread out on top a thin layer of mayonnaise,decorate with peppers slice into rings and sprinkle with dill.
