On Wednesday 19 April, a group of 27 migrants and refugees were discovered on a rural road on the island of Skyros.
Additionally, a sailing boat and an auxiliary boat were found in a nearby bay, which were suspected to have been used for the transport of the individuals.
The migrants were composed of seven women and 20 men, three of whom were minors, and were detected by the Coast Guard. The authorities seized the sailing boat and brought it to the port of Linaria in Skyros.
The Coast Guard also arrested two foreign nationals, both aged 50 and allegedly the skippers of the sailing boat, on charges of human trafficking.
