Six year ago much loved Greek actor Stathis Psaltis passed away.

Stathis Psaltis (Στάθης Ψάλτης) was a popular Greek actor, comedian, and director. He was born on August 27, 1949, in Athens, Greece, and passed away on April 21, 2007, at the age of 57.

He was born in Velo, Corinthia where he lived during his childhood until the age of 11, when his family moved to Aigaleo.

He studied at the acting school of Kostis Michailidis and finished law school at the university of Athens.

Psaltis started his career in the entertainment industry in the 1970s, and soon became known for his comedic roles in movies and TV shows. He was particularly popular for his ability to play a wide range of characters, from simple village folk to more complex, city-dwelling individuals.

Throughout his career, Psaltis acted in more than 70 films and TV series, and directed several movies and plays as well. Some of his most notable works include the films "Oi Aparadektoi" (The Unbeatable), "To Retire" (The Withdrawal), and "Oi Treis Harites" (The Three Charites), as well as the TV series "Proti Grammi" (First Line) and "Oi Men Kai Oi Den" (The Yes and the No).

Apart from his work in the entertainment industry, Psaltis was also known for his philanthropy and activism. He was a supporter of various social causes, such as the fight against drugs and the promotion of education, and was actively involved in helping underprivileged children and families.

Psaltis was widely recognized and loved by the Greek public for his talent, humor, and kind-hearted personality, and his legacy continues to live on in Greek culture and entertainment.
