Just days before the Greek delegation of this year’s Eurovision, including Victor Vernicos, were partying in a nightclub with a Greek flag.
The 16-year-old representative of Greece appeared to have fun, as seen in a video published on social media, after climbing onnto the table of the nightclub in Athens, with the Greek flag on his back. He dances to the song that he will be competing with in the European competition, ‘What They Say’.
Watch the video:
Victor Vernicos was born in Athens and is the youngest representative Greece has ever sent to Eurovision, as he is only 16 years old, while his song “What They Say”, with which he will represent us, is his own composition.
He started piano lessons at the age of four, Voice lessons at eight and guitar lessons at ten. At eleven he started writing his first songs, while for two years now he has been supervising the production of his own music, attending Music Technology courses.
The singer was recently invited to the main news bulletin of ERT and revealed some details about the song.
“I wrote it, I produced it, I’ve been involved in music since I was 4 when I started piano lessons. I started writing my own songs when I was 11 years old and I bring out something very real from inside me,” he said.
