Constantine “Dean” Karnazes as the Ambassador of Greek Tourism by the Greek Ministry of Tourism

Athens, April 26, 2023 – The Greek Ministry of Tourism has appointed Greek-American ultramarathoning legend Constantine “Dean” Karnazes as the Ambassador of Greek Tourism to promote sports tourism, physical wellness and the Greek Mediterranean diet.

The title is awarded for two years. Constantine Dean Karnazes is a frequent traveller throughout Greece. His father is from the Peloponnese, and his mother is from the longevity island of Ikaria.

He proudly accepted the appointment as Ambassador of Greek Tourism by the Greek Minister of Tourism, Μr. Vassilis Kikilias stated: “It is a tremendous honour to serve in this role, and I see a bright and vibrant future for Greece, which is the birthplace of the Olympics and the marathon.”
