Handball: The Greek national team qualified for the Euro for the first time EVER!

After 19 years of waiting, the Men's National Team is once again among the elite of European and world handball, celebrating a major qualification to the final phase of the EURO for the first time in its history!

Greece will be in a major event for the second time after the 2005 World Championship, as it booked one of the 24 places in the 2024 European Championship that will be held in the mecca of handball, Germany, from January 10-28.

The national team suffered a sweet defeat, 32-26 against the Netherlands at the Topsportscentrum in Almere in the 6th and last matchday of the qualifying phase of EURO 2024.

Greece with its excellent presence in the group where it collected 6 points and of course the great victory, 32- 28, in Chalkida against the Netherlands, took 3rd place and qualified as one of the four best 3rds in all groups.
