On Saturday afternoon (6/5) in Crete, in the maritime zone southwest of Chania, an earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory, the source was located at a depth of 19 kilometers.

The epicenter of the earthquake in Crete was located 41 km northwest of Paleochora (Chania).
