Victor Vernicos and "What They Say" did not qualify for the final of Eurovision 2023.
On the evening of Thursday, May 11, the 16-year-old failed to convince the audience with his performance and did not progress in the competition. He, however, seems not to be deterred by the exclusion.
He wrote in a new post on social media that he has "his head held high".
On Friday night, Victor Vernicos uploaded a new video through his TikTok profile. He dances on a rooftop with the sun in the background and one of his songs is heard in the clip.
"I may not have made it to the Eurovision final, but I'm holding my head high and I hope you like this song," he wrote in his post.

In a story he posted via Instagram on the night of the 1st semi-final, Victor Vernicos wanted to say a big thank you to those who supported him in this experience.
"Love you guys. Loads more to come soon 🙂 Thank you to all the Eurovision fans for the amazing experience," he wrote.
