Turks

The results broadcast by Anadolu on how the Turks abroad voted are of great interest, with opposition leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu having a clear favour in the USA, Canada and Australia, with percentages exceeding 70%.

The Turks of France and Germany support the current president, with percentages of more than 65%, while in Britain, Kılıçdaroğlu leads with a percentage of more than 80%.

Kılıçdaroğlu, who earlier on Sunday evening was second in the votes, now receives 50.54% in Russia. At the same time, the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is in second place with 42.02%.

It is recalled that a few days ago Kılıçdaroğlu left serious suspicions about possible involvement of Russia in the Turkish elections, against the background of the resignation of Muharrem İnce.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed the accusation in a briefing Friday, calling those spreading such rumours "liars". "Russia does not interfere in the internal affairs and electoral processes of other countries," Peskov said.

Finally, Kılıçdaroğlu was voted by the Turks who exercised their right to vote in Greece. From the counting of the 36 polls set up in Greece, Kılıçdaroğlu gathers 73.09% and Erdoğan follows with 21.11%.

The participation reached 19.83% and 431 votes out of the 437 that have been counted are valid, in 52.78% of the ballots.
