Greek firms announce deal for developing renewable energy projects in Egypt

In a joint press release on Wednesday, Copelouzos Group and Infinity Power announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the joint development of renewable energy projects that will supply the GREGY-Green Energy Interconnector from Egypt to mainland Greece, ANA reports.


"Copelouzos Group, through its subsidiary companies DAMCO ENERGY and ELICA MEDITERRANEAN INTERCONNECTION, and Infinity Power, a joint venture between Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and Egypt’s Infinity, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to access, on a non-exclusive basis, the possibility of jointly developing renewable energy projects that will provide GREGY electrical interconnection with a source of green energy," the press release noted.
