After months of speculation, Dua Lipa and Romain Gavras' relationship has been confirmed. The couple have been rumoured to be dating for several months but just made their relationship official with a joint appearance on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.
The singer and the French director made their debut yesterday, May 19, on the red carpet at the premiere of "Omar La Fraise" ("The King of Algiers").
Lipa wore a black one-shoulder dress featuring cutouts down the front and a bold thigh slit for the occasion. While Gavras was also well dressed and stylish, wearing a black suit.

The pair weren't shy about expressing their love either, as the director wrapped his arm around Lipa's waist while posing for photos. At one point, the pop star and the French filmmaker shared a laugh and looked very much in love.
The new couple has been making headlines for some time now. The French director and the English pop star have been rumoured to be dating since February this year.
Specifically, at a party in London after the BAFTAs, the British film awards, the pop star was seen leaving in the early hours of Monday morning with the director by her side, with the pair then getting into a waiting car together.
The couple, at that time, had been in Paris, specifically at the French capital's Fashion Week. They had attended the spectacular show of the "Saint Laurent" house, from which they had left hand in hand, but also exchanging a public kiss.
About a month ago, the singer had published a photo with Romain Gavras. Through the Instagram stories on her personal account, Lipa had posted a photo of them together.
The snap showed Lipa's hand holding a Polaroid photo of her laughing with Gavras. This was the first time the couple had made their relationship public on social media.
Lipa became single after splitting from model Anwar Hadid in late 2021, while Gavras was in a relationship with Rita Ora for six months before confirming their split in March 2021. The director has previously dated rapper MIA and has directed several of her music videos.
The son of Oscar-winning Greek director Costas Gavras, Romain is known for his creative work and this reportedly resonates with Lipa, who also comes from a creative background as a singer-songwriter.
