Microsoft to invest 1 billion dollars in Greece

Microsoft has just submitted its €1 billion investment plan in Greece. It includes three data center buildings, new well-paying high-tech jobs and training over 40,000 workers across both public and private sector.

The complex of three Data Centers will be built on a total area of 84,537 sq.m. in the business park located approximately 6 km west of "Eleftherios Venizelos" International Airport, 1.5 km north of Spata and 33 km east of Athens.

Greece is the first country in the Balkans and in the wider region of Southeast Europe to acquire a Data Center Region (it is a cluster of three Data Center facilities), while at the same time our country is present in the 4th Industrial Revolution. This investment contributes, at the same time, to the strengthening of the country's geostrategic role in the wider region, which is necessary especially in this period.
