The competition was tough, but Anastasiadou and Ntouskos proved their skills and determination on the water as they both secured silver medals in the Lightweight Women’s and Men’s Single Sculls categories at the European Rowing Championships 2023.
Other Greek rowers also put up a good fight at the championships. Evangelia Fragkou finished in the 4th position in the Women’s Single Sculls Final B, and brothers Dimitrios and Zisis Boukouvalas also finished in the 4th position in the Men’s Pair Final C.
The day before on Saturday, Greek athletes Dimitra Eleni (Milena) Kontou and Zoi Fitsiou won silver in Lightweight Women’s Double Sculls, while Petros Gkaidatzis and Antonios Papakonstantinou secured bronze in Lightweight Men’s Double Sculls.
Overall, the Greek rowing team performed admirably at the championships, with their determination and hard work paying off in the form of medals.
