AEK took advantage of its home base and won the men's A1 handball title on Wednesday after defeating Olympiacos 27-22 (halftime 14-12) in the "G. Kassimatis" of OAKA, in the fifth and last final of the playoffs.
The "Two-Headed Eagle" celebrated the fifth championship in its history (2011, 2013, 2020, 2021 and 2023) while denying the "red and whites" the opportunity to win the double. AEK took revenge for the defeat they experienced against Olympiacos in the semi-final of the final four of the Cup.
