The filming of a powerful drama inspired by Homer’s Odyssey and starring Ralph Fiennes as Odysseus and Juliette Binoche as Penelope is wrapping up on Corfu, state broadcaster ERT reported on Tuesday.
“The Return” is directed by Uberto Pasolini and written by Edward Bond and John Collee, who focus on the period of the ancient Greek epic after the king washes up on the shores of Ithaca to find that everything he took for granted has changed.
Slated for release in North America in 2024, “The Return” includes locations in different parts of the Peloponnese and iconic spots on the Ionian island.
