Michalis "Iron Mike" Zambidis and Maria Dassiou will climb the steps of the church in a few days to get married and baptise their twin children.

According to their wedding announcement, published by Espresso newspaper, the wedding and baptism will take place on Saturday, June 17. The sacraments will occur in the Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Glyfada.

The announcement of their marriage writes:

"Michalis Zambidis of Pantelis and Georgia, born Vlantis, who was born in Ilion Attica and lived in Voula Attica, and Maria Karolina Dassiou of Petros and Zofia Maria Oluszczak, who was born in Argyroupoli Attica and lives in Voula Attica, is going to perform their wedding in the Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Glyfada".

In a recent interview, the athlete said: "On June 17 we will have a double sacrament, a baptism and a wedding at Lake Vouliagmeni. I am marrying this wonderful person, Maria. It's a special moment. I have prepared many surprises for the guests as well as for Maria.

"We will be about 150 people, we will be close friends. Whoever comes there, I would like them to have a good time and to be there at the most pivotal moment of our lives."
