Celebrating Greek Excellence: Greek International Women Awards (GIWA) Honors Influential Women Making a Global Impact (vote now)

The Greek International Women Awards (GIWA) celebrate, empower and recognize the
incredible and influential Greek leading women whose stories have impacted our world. The achievements and life stories of these remarkable women create the content of
the GIWA Awards, and their presence can make a significant difference in how the world
is evolving.

The GIWA Awards are organised under the Auspices of the Hellenic Republic
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the City of Athens & the National Chamber of Network of
Women Entrepreneurs.

The GIWA awards are very prestigious and highly competitive. Five Greek - Australian
women have been shortlisted in GIWA 2023:


Dr Patricia Koromvokis, in the category of Education & Psychology

Nancy Katsimberis in the category of Environment & Sustainability

Argyro Vourdoumpa in the category of Media, Marketing, Communications

Dr Olga Panagiotopoulou, in the category of Science & Technology

Varvara Athanasiou – Ioannou in the category of Social Responsibility.

Dr Koromvokis stated to Greek City Times that she feels privileged to have been shortlisted
in the Greek International Women Awards (GIWA) in the category of Education &
Psychology at an international level and is grateful to all the people and organisations which
have supported her in developing and implementing impactful initiatives and international
collaborations that showcase innovation in the field of humanities, teamwork, critical
thinking, and effective communication skills with various stakeholders, promote the role of
the Greek language in the diaspora and build long-lasting academic bridges between Greece
and Australia. Finally, she wished all the other finalists Good Luck.

To vote, you must Register first and vote for one candidate in at least three categories.

The GIWA winner of each category will be announced on the 21st of September, 2023, at the
Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Centre in Athens.
