Greece lures superyachts to its shores

Greece has become one of the top destinations for superyachts this summer, surpassing other Mediterranean countries in terms of yacht numbers. While Italy has traditionally been known as the hotspot for luxury yachting, recent data shows that Greece is now hosting 235 yachts, compared to 217 in France, 150 in Spain, and 94 in Turkey with Italy only just in the in the lead with 259.

Meanwhile, the United States has seen a decline in yacht numbers, with only 159 counted. This shift in popularity can be attributed to Greece's stunning coastlines, crystal-clear waters, and rich cultural heritage, which are drawing in the world's wealthiest individuals.

The influx of superyachts in Greece is not surprising given the recent sightings of high-profile figures in the region.
