Stefanos Tsitsipas Makes Comeback to Win Opening Round at Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, Germany

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No. 2 seed, displayed his resilience as he overcame French player Gregoire Barrere 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-6 (3) in a thrilling opening-round match at the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, Germany.

After dropping the first set, Tsitsipas trailed 3-1 in the second set. However, he staged a remarkable comeback, winning five of the next six games to claim the set. The decider saw both players holding their serves, leading to a tiebreaker. Barrere struggled to convert his serves, allowing Tsitsipas to secure victory and progress to the second round.

Tsitsipas is set to face Chile's Nicolas Jarry in the next round, following Jarry's 6-3, 7-5 triumph over another French player, Corentin Moutet.
