Aegean Airlines' CEO names three preconditions for the development of tourism and air transport

Infrastructures, human resources and expanding the tourist season are the necessary preconditions for the sustainable development of tourism and air transport in Greece, Dimitris Gerogiannis, CEO of Aegean Airlines, said on Monday.

Addressing an event on "Reimagine Tourism in Greece", Gerogiannis said infrastructures were extremely important for sustainable tourism development, cities and the country in general. He added that this issue could not be analyzed piecemeal, as infrastructure does not stop at an airport or at air traffic but includes transport, energy, water, waste management, etc.

Regarding air transport, Gerogiannis said the basic infrastructure that needs systematic effort and upgrading is air traffic control management and airports.
