Teresa Polias Makes History as the First Female Inductee into Sydney FC Hall of Fame

On a momentous occasion at the esteemed Sky Blue Ball, Greek Australian footballer Teresa Polias etched her name in the annals of Sydney FC history as the first female player to be inducted into the club's Hall of Fame. Alongside her, Alex Wilkinson was also honoured with this prestigious accolade. Together, they dedicated a combined 18 seasons to Sydney FC, leaving an indelible mark on the club by securing 11 major trophies and amassing an impressive 366 appearances in the iconic Sky Blue jersey.

Polias's remarkable journey with the club spanned an impressive 11 years, during which she exhibited her exceptional skills and unwavering commitment to the game. However, in 2021, she made the decision to take an indefinite break from football as she prepared to embrace the joyous chapter of motherhood, expecting her first child. At the memorable event, Polias stood alongside other distinguished award winners, including Adam Le Fondre, who was honoured with the A-League Men's Golden Boot, and Madison Haley, who received the Women's Award.
