Russian Nationals force plane's emergency landing at Thessaloniki's Makedonia airport

A passenger plane on a Manchester-Dalaman flight had to make an emergency landing at Makedonia international airport in Thessaloniki on Sunday at 01:50.

The cause was the aggressive behaviour of two Russian nationals during the flight, who were placed under arrest.
They were then charged with dangerous interference in the smooth running of rail, maritime and air transport means, disturbing the peace and other violations of civil aviation law.
The police investigation revealed that the two persons arrested had behaved aggressively towards the cabin crew and afterwards, due to the disturbance of the flight's safety, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Makedonia airport.
After searching the area and specifically the seats where the Russians were sitting, police found empty bottles of alcoholic drinks
