Greece was ranked 6th out of 193 countries worldwide in the KidsRights Index Report 2023 released by the Netherlands-based NGO KidsRights on Monday.
The report said that children worldwide were suffering due to a "polycrisis of unprecedented levels" experienced across the globe, due to the cost-of-living crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, as well as the impacts of climate change, conflict and environmental disasters.
With one in four children worldwide living below the poverty line, Greece was ranked sixth after Germany for having the best living conditions for children, while Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Luxembourg occupied the top places.
