Mark Philippoussis, who previously coached Stefanos Tsitsipas, has now shifted his focus to another top-ranked Greek player, Maria Sakkari.

Philippoussis was brought on board by Tsitsipas to enhance his grass court performance, resulting in notable improvements and achievements. Tsitsipas secured a title in Mallorca and displayed an impressive performance at Wimbledon under Philippoussis’ guidance.

However, the partnership between Philippoussis and Tsitsipas ended earlier this year, with Tsitsipas expressing a desire for a more streamlined coaching setup. Despite suggestions for Tsitsipas to explore alternative coaching options, he decided to continue working with his father, a decision that has raised some questions given his perceived stagnation in recent years.
