Uber is offering a new, ground-breaking service for the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos as Greece prepares to welcome millions of visitors this summer.
"Boat" is a unique opportunity for visitors and residents of the island to experience a trip with a speedboat at the touch of a button, via the Uber app. The capacity of the speedboats is up to eight people.
"This new service is another step in the company's strategy, which puts Greece at the centre of the European market and strengthens its support for Greek tourism, ensuring affordable and safe transportation options for both its residents and visitors of the islands," the company said in an announcement.
Available from late June to October, "Boat" will be an on-demand service, provided by a local licensed operator and available through the Uber app. App users will be able to book speedboat tours at the touch of a button to move around Mykonos easily and reliably.
Also, Uber Taxi within the Uber app is available in Athens, Thessaloniki, Santorini and Mykonos, among others.
