Kurds held a demonstration in the centre of Athens on Wednesday afternoon, reacting to the closure of the refugee camp in Lavrio, where their compatriots were staying.

As it became known, the 53 residents (26 men, eight women and 19 children) were transferred safely to existing accommodation structures of the Ministry of Immigration & Asylum.
The space occupied for years will be given to the Municipality of Lavrio for utilisation.
