Deputy Mayor of Aliveri, Nikos Barakos, expressed his concerns, stating, "The night ahead will be challenging. The fire is spreading rapidly. Thankfully, no residential structures are currently at risk, but it is in an extremely inaccessible location for the firefighters. We remain on high alert throughout the evening as the uncontrollable fire continues."

Vice-Mayor of Kymi-Aliveriou, highlighting the severity of the situation, remarked, "The smoke has blanketed a large portion of Evia. The front of the fire is extensive, visible from several kilometers away. It is traversing up and down the mountains, persistently burning, without immediate threats to residential areas and the PPC and AGET Iraklis factories." "We are facing an extremely arduous situation. The night will be long. Our vigilance remains unwavering throughout the evening," added Mr. Barakos. He emphasized that volunteers have also rallied to the area, strategically positioned to mitigate the fire's advancement.
