A baby was found crying in a locked car in Chania, in danger of dying from heatstroke. However, the intervention of the police forces saved the infant’s life.

The incident happened shortly before 8:30 on Sunday night when police officers were alerted to rush to the old Xenia in the western moat in Chania. Inside a locked car was a crying baby, reports Para Kritika.

The police were forced to break the window of the vehicle and take the child out, which, according to witnesses, was locked for some time.

After a while, his parents, who had gone for a walk in the Venetian Harbour with their other child, also arrived at the scene. The couple from Japan was taken to the police department for exposing a minor to danger.
