The fire is raging out of control in Dervenochoria , with the strong winds making the extinguishing work difficult and the blaze threatening Mandra, especially the Agios Charalambos village.

Earlier, a message via 112 was sent to the residents of Nea Zois Mandras and Neos Pontos Mandras to evacuate their settlements and head to Elefsina due to the forest fire in Dervenochoria.

At the same time, firefighters are also fighting the flames in Loutraki. This is a difficult battle due to the winds, which make the flames constantly change directions.

At the same time, the municipality has taken an initiative to accommodate those affected by the fire in the wider area of ​​Kallithea Loutraki, in cooperation with the hoteliers’ association of Corinth and the hoteliers.

According to the municipality of Loutraki, “already, more than 150 people have been accommodated in the hotels of our municipality and we continue to receive calls from our fellow citizens, who are looking for accommodation and whom we try to serve by any convenient means”.
