According to Shams Charania from Athletic, Thanasis Antetokounmpo has reached an agreement to rejoin the Milwaukee Bucks. Despite having several options, including the New York Knicks, the 31-year-old forward has decided to remain alongside his brother Giannis in Milwaukee.

With the addition of Thanasis, the Bucks will have a unique roster featuring both the Antetokounmpo brothers as well as the Lopez brothers, Brook and Robin, for the upcoming season.

Thanasis, a member of the Greek national team, has been with the Bucks for the past four years and was part of their NBA championship-winning team in 2021. He was originally chosen by the Knicks as the 51st overall pick in the 2014 draft. His basketball journey began with Filathlitikos before spending time in the G League with the Delaware 87ers and the Knicks’ affiliate team, Westchester. He also played two NBA games in 2016.

Following his stint in the NBA, Thanasis returned to Europe and played for Andorra and Panathinaikos. He achieved Greek Basket League victories with Panathinaikos in both 2018 and 2019.

Throughout his NBA career, Thanasis has appeared in 164 regular season games, averaging 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds. He has also participated in 23 playoff matches.
