Paros, Mykonos and Santorini are the favourite Greek islands for Australians in 2023

The adorable Paros, the iconic Mykonos and the picturesque Santorini dominate the significant Australian market for the Greek islands in 2023. Escape, Australia’s No.1 Travel Media, describes and recommends three particular islands for holidays.

“There’s so much more to Mykonos than simply late night bars and DJs. It also offers pristine beaches, fascinating history and plenty of cultural activities to keep you entertained,” the site says about the “Island of the Winds.”

About Paros, it writes: “This adorable little island is full of charm and lacks the hoards of tourists you find elsewhere, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful Greek island getaway.”

“Base yourself in the main town of Parikia (which has lots of great restaurants and things to see) and get around the island using the excellent local bus system, which will take you to all the villages and beaches you’re keen to explore.”

Finally, Santorini is praised for its incredible view at every turn. The site emphasises, “The whitewashed volcanic island of Santorini is rocky, full of steep cliffs — and absolutely stunning. There are incredible views at every turn and one of the best ways to experience it is to do the 10km hike between the two main cities, Fira and Oia (ideally early in the morning).”
