A fire broke out at noon in a forest on Mount Athos, but a little later, it was contained.
Firefighters immediately rushed to the area, namely ten firefighters with five vehicles, while a helicopter arrived from the air.

The fire broke out in a forest area above the port of Dafni, between the Monasteries of Simonos Petra and Xiropotamos.
In that area, there are estates of the Monastery of Simonos Petra and the Cell of Agios Nikolaos Dontas, the Seat of the same Monastery.
