The Port Authority of Samos, north of the island, rescued 35 migrants.
According to the Hellenic Coast Guard, the local Coast Guard was informed in the morning that there was a boat with foreigners in the "KOKKARI" sea area.
A Coast Guard patrol boat immediately went to the area, spotted the boat and rounded up 35 migrants, including 16 men, 12 women and seven children.
All 35 migrants are in good health and were taken to the port of Malagari, where they were handed over to officers of the Samos Police Department, to be transferred to KED/Samou. A preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Port Authority of Samos while the boat was destroyed.
