In a sweet snap, John Stamos paid tribute to his late friend and Full House co-star Bob Saget.

On his Instagram, Friday, Stamos, who is best known for his role as Jessie Katsopolis on Full House, shared an undated throwback photo of himself and Saget sunning it up at a pool in Greece.

“Tan and Tanner #greece,” Stamos captioned his post, referring to Saget’s character, Danny Tanner, from the beloved ‘80s and ’90s sitcom.

Stamos’ co-star from Full House, Dave Coulier, responded to Stamos’ post in the comments section with three heart emojis.

Stamos has been open about sharing his memories of Saget, who died at the age of 65 on January 9, 2022, due to head trauma, as his family later confirmed.  Both Stamos and Saget starred in Full House from 1987 to 1995, and they later reprised their roles as Jesse and Danny, respectively on Fuller House, a reboot of the original series, from 2016 to 2020.

At Saget’s memorial in January 2022, Stamos said of the late comedian: “God, he loves us all so much. Bob goes to sleep dreaming of when we’ll meet again — and he’s smiling. I know in my heart he’s smiling, still hearing the laughter from a few hours before.”

Stamos starred alongside Saget on the beloved sitcom Full House from 1987 to 1995. Saget passed away at the age of 65 in January 2022 following a stand-up comedy performance in Florida. His cause of death was later revealed to be blunt head trauma caused by an accidental fall in his Ritz Carlton hotel room.

At the time of his former costar’s death, Stamos tweeted that he was “broken” and “gutted” by the news. “I am in complete and utter shock,” he wrote. “I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”

About John Stamos

His father, Bill, hailed from the Greek village of Kakouri in Arcadia, nestled in the southern Peloponnese region of Greece. At the same time, his mother, Loretta Phillips, was American and a former model.

Stamos rose to international fame for his iconic role as Uncle Jesse Katsopolis in ABC’s beloved 90s sitcom “Full House”. He further showcased his versatility by portraying Dr. Tony Gates in the acclaimed medical drama series, “ER.” Besides his acting career, Stamos has performed live with The Beach Boys, demonstrating his musical talent on both guitar and drums. He even appeared in the Beach Boys’ music video for their hit track, “Kokomo.” Stamos fulfilled one of his late mother’s desires by appearing in the sequel movie, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.”

Stamos delved into his Greek heritage during his journey to Greece, exploring notable sites such as the Parthenon, Nafplio, Levidi village, and various archaeological wonders. He also cherished precious moments spent with his Greek family in the scenic village of Kakouri, immersing himself in the culture and traditions of his late father’s birthplace. A few years ago, Stamos embraced Greek tradition when he became a father, naming his first son “Billy” in loving memory of his beloved father, Bill Stamos, with whom he shared a special bond.
