Arrested: Bulgarian Citizen Defies Greek Authorities, Attempts Escape after lowering Greek flag

Despite the restrictive conditions imposed on him by the Greek prosecution authorities, a 35-year-old Bulgarian citizen illegally left our country.

However, he was later arrested by Bulgarian authorities when he attempted to escape to his own country. This arrest comes after the Bulgarian citizen lowered the Greek flag and raised the Bulgarian flag at the "Apostolos Pavlos" port of Kavala.

He was initially charged with insulting national symbols and resisting authority but was released pending a trial. Despite being banned from leaving Greece, he drove his car to Drama and attempted to pass through the border station without license plates. He was pursued by Greek police but managed to break through the protective bar and enter Bulgarian territory.

Bulgarian police then arrested him and confiscated his car. This incident has raised concerns with Greek authorities, as the individual has caused similar trouble in the past.
