Incident takes place on Montefiore Street in Tel Aviv, Israeli emergency service says

TEL AVIV -A civilian was injured after a gunman opened fire in Israel's capital Tel Aviv on Saturday.

The incident took place on Montefiore Street in Tel Aviv, the Israeli emergency service said in a statement.

It said that medical teams provided first aid to the injured person, who is said to be in serious condition.

Meanwhile, police said in a statement that the suspect was shot dead by security guards near the scene.
