Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis paid a private visit to the Eleftherios Venizelos House-Museum in Halepa, Chania, accompanied by his daughter Dafni and three of her friends. They were guided to the Museum by the general director of the "Eleftherios K. Venizelos" National Foundation, Nikolaos Papadakis.
As reported by ERT, Mr Mitsotakis noted that he has repeatedly visited the historical house of Venizelos. At the same time, during the tour, he referred to critical events with the great politician as the protagonist.
He showed particular interest in the genealogical tree of the Venizelos family, which is displayed in the attic of the House and in which the close relationship with the Mitsotakis family is shown.
At the time of the visit to the Museum, there were dozens of visitors from various regions of Greece and abroad, with whom the Prime Minister had the opportunity to talk in a friendly atmosphere.
Concluding the visit, Mitsotakis signed the guest book, noting: "The greatest politician of modern Greece continues to inspire us with his foresight. He was useful, not liked, and this legacy of his remains relevant at a time when populism continues to besiege democracy."
