It will rain everywhere in Greece next week except Evros where fires rage for the 14th day!

There is a forecast for rains across Greece next week, except in Evros, where the fire is burning for the 14th day in a row!

In its latest post, METEO posted: "From the total amount of rain in millimetres predicted by the numerical model of the National Observatory of Athens/meteo.gr until Tuesday 5/9, it seems that the area of Evros will be one of the least areas of our country that will not receive rainfall".

Today, Friday (1/9), local clouds and maybe a few rains of short duration are predicted in central-eastern Macedonia. The winds will blow from the north-northwest 4 to 6 Beaufort, and the temperature will fluctuate at levels 2 to 3 degrees higher than usual for the season.

Generally, no rain is predicted on the weekend (2-3/9). Winds will blow from northern directions with basic intensities in the west 3 to 4 and in the east 5 to 6 Beaufort. In the Aegean, their power may reach 7 Beaufort. The temperature will not change significantly.

The weather during Saturday and Sunday will be fine, with temperatures high for the season, but the scene changes from next week.

Somehow, the heat of the previous days will give way to bad autumn weather, according to meteorologist Clearchos Marousakis, which will affect most regions of the country, the western and central parts, from the beginning of next week and will last at least, until Thursday, September 7.

"From the beginning of next week, i.e. Monday and after that, we expect particularly significant bad weather. The weather will remind you of advanced autumn, i.e. October - November. We will have a lot of rain and dangerous rain; we may also have flooding episodes. The temperature will plummet. It will hit the whole country. It is a 'wave' of bad weather, which will start from the Balkans and end up towards the southernmost parts of the Ionian," he told OPEN.

According to Clearchos Marousakis, the weather will soon return to normal conditions.

"Let's just say that it is a time when our seas are very warm, and therefore the phenomena that will occur will certainly be quite dangerous," he said.
