UEFA Ranking: Greece remains 19th but there are 24 matches to change that

Olympiacos and PAOK managed to seal their ticket tonight for the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League group stage, respectively, achieving four ultimate victories in the matches against FK Čukarički and Hearts.

Thus, the two teams gained 400 extra points for our country, which remained in 19th place in the UEFA rankings with 23,125 points.

With four representatives in the group of a European competition, Greece knows there are still 24 games in which it can increase its gap with the countries behind it and get as close as possible to 15th place.

As we noted on Wednesday night after the elimination of Panathinaikos and AEK in the playoffs of the Champions League, the scenario of Greece being able to enter the top 15 this season only has a small chance.

As far as the results of the representatives of the countries above Greece in the UEFA rankings are concerned, Norway lost one team, while Ukraine lost two. In particular, Alkmaar eliminated Bergen from the playoffs of the Europa Conference League.

In contrast, in the same phase, Dnipro and Dynamo Kyiv were eliminated by Spartak Trnava and Beşiktaş, respectively.
