Greece in the “F1 in Schools” World Competition Top 3!

The Greek Wave Race team is among the top three vying for first place in the global F1 in Schools competition. The Greek team was in third place among 68 groups and will try to achieve first place.

F1 in Schools is one of the most comprehensive cross-curricular programs in the world, also approved by the Institute of Education Policy (IEP) of the Ministry of Education.

In F1 in Schools, students can participate from Primary (3rd to 6th grade), Middle and High School, and students who have yet to turn 19.

Wave Racing (Hellenic German Education + English School of Nicosia Cyprus) consists of students From Greek German Education, Konstantinos Mousamas, Apostolis Patelis, and Yiannis Syriopoulos.

The Physics professor of Greek-German Education, Konstantinos Tassis, accompanies them. From the English School Of Nicosia are participating: Ilias Kirmizis, Panos Stavrou, Gavriil Georgiou, Antonis Antoniou and Stefanos Vladimirou.

The competition takes place on the sidelines of the Grand Prix of the magical world of Formula 1 on Sentosa Island in Singapore. Sixty-eight teams from all over the world are competing in the global finals, which are finally taking place this year with the physical presence of all participants.

The 18th global competition started on September 10 and will conclude today.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) supports with its donation the participation of the Greek teams taking part in this year’s F1 in Schools 2023 world finals to encourage the involvement of more students in the educational program and their training on innovative applications STEM.
