Greek-Australian football manager Ange Postecoglou has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for August 2023 after steering Tottenham Hotspur to a draw and two impressive victories in the opening rounds of the new season.
In June, the 58-year-old joined Spurs from Celtic as the club's permanent successor to Antonio Conte and has made a bright start to life in north London.
Despite losing all-time record scorer Harry Kane to Bayern Munich one day before their Premier League campaign started, Postecoglou's Tottenham went through August unbeaten.
They began the season with a credible 2-2 draw at Brentford before earning their first win a week later at home to Manchester United, seeing off the Red Devils 2-0 back on home soil.
Tottenham then rounded off August with a 2-0 victory away at Bournemouth. They sit second in the Premier League table, beating Burnley 5-2 before the September international break.
Postecoglou, the first Greek and first Australian to ever manage in the Premier League, has become an instant fan-favourite at Tottenham due to his charisma and the team's refreshing attacking style of play.
They return to action on Saturday when they take on Sheffield United at home before making the short trip to north London rivals Arsenal next Sunday.
