Mykonos won yet another first place in the Readers' Choice Awards 2023 of the world-renowned travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler.
Based on millions of readers worldwide voting, the rating concerns the 20 best islands in Europe.
According to the results, the "Island of the Winds" was ranked first among Greek destinations and second in Europe after Sardinia, with a score of 87.35.
The top 20 Greek islands include Paros, Corfu, Rhodes, Kos, Skiathos, Sifnos, Santorini and Crete. The remaining European destinations include, among others, Ibiza, the Canary Islands, the Azores, Minorca, Hvar in Croatia, Malta, Ischia in Italy, Majorca, etc.
It is noted that the rating is based on the satisfaction levels declared for these islands by the magazine's readers.
The Mayor of Mykonos Koukas stated that once again, it proves that the Cycladc island is a main player of Greek tourism.
"We are particularly happy that our island is firmly holding the sceptre in travellers' preferences, which confirms the high level of services and the unique experience that only our island can offer," the mayor said.
