Athenian Sea Carriers grow chemical order book

In the chemical tanker sector, Athenian Sea Carriers have declared options for four 20,500 dwt units at CSSC yard Wuchang Shipbuilding Group, according to Clarksons Research. No price has been revealed.

The tankers will have LNG and methanol-ready notations and are set to be fitted with rudder bulbs.

Delivery of the four tankers is due in Q4 2025 and 1H 2026. The order brings the owner’s series at the yard to eight, with Wuchang cementing its position as one of the world’s largest builders of chemical carriers.
