Tourist found dead in Preveli Beach, Crete

A 62-year-old man was found unconscious on the beach of Preveli in Rethymnon on the island of Crete earlier on Sunday.

According to local media ekriti.gr, the man was a German tourist. He was found on the steps leading to the beach.

Passersby informed the ambulance service. However, due to difficult access to the spot, the assistance of the Fire Service was needed.

The body was collected by the firefighters and handed over to the ambulance.

An autopsy is to determine the exact causes of the man’s death.
