On the evening of October 9, a motor yacht named NAVIS ONE, with 22 individuals on board, experienced a fire incident off the coast of Koufonisi Island in the Aegean Sea, Greece.
All 22 individuals, including guests and crew, were evacuated; fortunately, no injuries were reported. Regrettably, the 47-meter yacht was engulfed by the flames and ultimately sank on the morning of October 10. It is understood that the vessel was operating under a charter arrangement.
The NAVIS ONE, boasting an IMO number 9704958, a gross tonnage of 498, and constructed in 2018, flew the flag of Malaysia. The yacht featured five cabins, accommodating up to 12 guests, and was staffed by a crew of 10 members.

The eyewitness stated that the fire began towards the aft of the vessel, and “within an hour of starting, the top two levels had burnt down”.
