Greek Orthodox Church in Gaza Collapses due to Israeli Raids, Injuries Reported Among Displaced Individuals

The interior ministry in Gaza has declared the Greek Orthodox Church building in the central city to have collapsed, attributing it to Israeli raids.

The Greek Orthodox church in Gaza - the oldest active church in the city of Agios Porphyrios - 1150 AD was bombed. built by the Crusaders, the church has been split into two.

They further mentioned that there were injured individuals, who were displaced and seeking shelter within the church. As per ERT, the gathering inside the church consisted of around 50 individuals, predominantly comprising children and women.

In a X post - According to contact with Bishop Alexios and one of the Orthodox parishioners in Gaza, there are families under the rubble.
