Notably, initial discussions have already taken place regarding stores, including brands like IKEA and Intersport, as well as luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Burberry, either as standalone stores or within the shopping center. Discussions have also extended to food to clothing companies.
The primary focus now, however, is on the construction phase. As per available information, AKTOR, a renowned construction company, will undertake the excavation and preliminary construction work. Agreements, in the form of Heads of Terms (HoT), have already been reached for 57% of the gross lettable area (GLA).
Simultaneously, a consortium formed by the Italian group Rizzani de Eccher and the AVAX Group is serving as the project's advisor. This collaboration combines the expertise of one of Italy's leading construction companies, with extensive global experience in building projects, many of which have been developed using the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) method, and one of Greece's top construction companies in the infrastructure and building sector.
The advisory team will offer pre-construction consulting services in the form of Early Contractor Involvement to prepare the company for the construction of the Vouliagmenis Mall Complex. This encompasses aspects like design, planning, supply chain, and project management.
The project, estimated to cost over 400 million euros, is anticipated to be completed by early 2027, with an area 1.5 times larger than The Mall Athens.
The architectural firm AEDAS is already making progress on the design, with a total built area of 129,424 square meters.
As previously announced, the mall is expected to house 280 stores and is projected to welcome 17 million visitors annually, both to the retail stores and dining and entertainment venues.
