UEFA ranking: Olympiacos and PAOK brought Greece just short of 18th place

Two wins and two losses resulted from the Greek teams in their obligations in the context of the third matchday of the Europa League and Europa Conference League groups. Olympiacos and PAOK won against West Ham and Aberdeen, respectively, while on the other hand, AEK lost to Marseille and Panathinaikos to Rennes.

These results are reflected in 800 points for Greece in the UEFA special rating, while on the first matchday, our country collected a total of 1200 points and, in the second, 1000 points. With these results, Greece remains in 19th place, however, it is now a very close away from Israel, which is currently in 18th place.

It is recalled, however, that the country's two representatives, Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv, did not compete on Thursday night due to the ongoing military conflicts.

With 26,125 points, Greece is now only 250 points away from Israel but also 475 points away from Ukraine, which is in 17th place in the standings. It should be noted that each victory of a Greek team in the groups offers our country 400 points, so it is easy to see that now the distance that separates it from 17th place is very small.

It is worth noting, however, that Ukraine also has a pending match as Zorya Luhansk was due to play against Maccabi Tel Aviv, with the match being postponed to November 25.

Beyond that, in terms of countries above Ukraine, Serbia saw Bačka Topola and Čukarički suffer as many defeats on Thursday, without having a points advantage on the night, while 15th-placed Norway tallied two wins by Molde and Bodo Glimt in Europa League and Europa Conference League respectively.
