OXI DAY: Changes in metro and tram services on Saturday, clocks go back on Sunday

There will be changes in the regular metro and tram schedules and routes in central Athens due to a parade celebrating the OXI Day national holiday on Saturday, 28 October, police announced. The following measures will apply on Saturday:

-The metro station "Syntagma" will close at 08:00, and trains will pass through without stopping
-Tram line 6 "Pikrodafni-Syntagma" will temporarily end at FIX station, starting at 08:00
-Tram line 7, "Asklipiio Voulas-Aghia Triada, Piraeus", will temporarily end at SEF from 09:00.

Standard services will be restored after the end of the parade and the celebrations for OXI Day.

Clocks going back one hour to Standard Time on Sunday

Clocks are going back one hour to Standard Time from summer Daylight Savings Time this Sunday, October 29. At 4:00 on Sunday morning, watches must be set back one hour to read at 3:00.

According to an announcement by the transport ministry, this is happening by the summer time measures as set out in European directive 2000/84 of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU of January 19, 2001.
