From early Wednesday night, a crowd had gathered outside the "Olympion" cinema in Thessaloniki to see Monica Bellucci.
The Italian star, who is a guest of the 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival, attended the premiere of the film about Maria Callas
When she arrived outside the "Olympion" around 23:00, fans asked for autographs and rhythmically chanted her name.
Bellucci greeted attendees at the festival entrance and took a banner prepared for her by fans.
Climbing the stage of the Festival, Bellucci received a long applause from the audience.
She said that "As you know, Greece is deep deep deep in my heart."
"I don't want to explain the movie, you're going to discover the film," the star added.
In the film "Maria Callas: letters and Memories" by Tom Wolff and Yiannis Dimolitsa, Monica Bellucci interprets excerpts from the top soprano's letters in a monologue.
